Dr. Hashimoto and Prof. Yokokawa of collaboration research group have published recent progress in the journal of Integrative Biology. This is the first manuscript which Miura-team in CREST ‘Biodynamics’ published. In this progress, we established a fundamental methodology, in which tissue or reconstructed tissue can be cultured for longer time period by perfusion through the connected vasculature.

K. Nishiyama gave a seminar at Dept. of Ophthalmology in Tohoku University, entitled ‘Cell dynamics and the regulatory machinery in angiogenesis’. That was a good experience for me to present our data to ophthalmologists, which might be not so familiar with basic science. I was very glad to be able to discuss with them earnestly.
