Ms. Soyeon, M.S./Ph.D. candidate, joined our lab. as a research internship student from Prof. Pilhan Kim’s lab. in KAIST of South Korea. Prof. Pilhan is our collaborator in the research regarding intravital imaging of angiogenic dynamics using mice. She plants to stay in Kumamoto, so we really hope that she will enjoy our lab life and Kumamoto during her stay. The picture was taken at the welcome and a Happy New Year party!

Yuichiro Arima (Assistant Professor of Department of Cardiovascular Medicine) received a Wim award “The Best Questioner of the Year 2016”. WIM (Weekly IRCMS Meeting) is held to enhance presentation and communication skills, as well as to facilitate scientific/personal interactions between labs in IRCMS. Congratulation!!

Yuichiro Arima won the shot-talk & poster presentation award in the 5th scheduled meeting of CREST ‘BIODYNAMICS’, which was held in Odaiba of Tokyo. We are proud to be selected as one of the winners among strong competitors. We appreciate all of the collaborators who strongly supported our research.

Prof. Osamu Nakagawa visited our laboratory for the first time in about two months, who is a lab head of department of Molecular Physiology at National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center Research Institute. I really enjoyed discussion with him in the day time and also some country dishes and suites in the night time. Please visit us again in a short time!
